What is the Geelong Community
Support Register?
It is a register of personal information voluntarily provided by those in possible need of community support, including elderly persons, people with a disability and isolated individuals. |
Why have a Community Support Register?
The Register gives you a sense of confidence in the event that you are unable to provide medical or personal information, for example if you are involved in an accident, fall or due to illness. The information provided is stored on a confidential database and can be relayed to emergency services personnel. |
How does it work?
Volunteered information is stored on a database at Corio Police Station. Volunteers will facilitate the service. An authorised volunteer or Police representative can access the information if requested. Your details will not be made available to any person or organisation other than the Police,
Ambulance, Hospital or Fire Brigade. |
