What is the Geelong Community
Support Register?
It is a register of personal information voluntarily provided by those in possible need of community support, including elderly persons, people with a disability and isolated individuals. |
About Us
There are a number of community support registers operating throughout Victoria that aim to enhance the feeling of security, confidence and well being for those in need of support. As with many existing registers, the new Geelong Community Support Register will be operated by Police along with a team of community volunteers.
The establishment of the Geelong Community Support Register was made possible following the release of funding from the Office of Senior Victorians and the Department of Planning and Community Development.
The Geelong Community Support Register team would like to thank the team at the Bellarine Police Community Support Register Inc. for their support and assistance throughout the establishment of the new Register.
The Geelong Community Support Register is based at the Corio Police Station located at 117 Bacchus Marsh Road, Corio. This is a secure office and not open to the public. |
